What import settings did you use?
What is the actual mess? Describe in detail
What did you do to cause Lightroom to indicate that the folder is missing? (Normally this happens if you move or rename or delete the folder using your operating system, on Windows it can also happen if you unplug an external drive and plug it in again later and Windows assigns a different drive letter)
