I just purchased Elements 13. I had been using Photoshop CS4, but since I retired I could no longer afford it! I have tested HP photo printers with Photoshop Elements before and had no problem using the photo tray. I was the lead Writing System engineer for the HP B8550 and I know Elements (Sorry but I do not know the version..we tested in 2005) worked fine. I know the B8550 inside and out and I cannot get Elements 13 to print to the photo tray.I have tried every possible option that I know and have had no luck! I can only print 4x6s and 5x7s from the main tray. A real bummer! I do not care what Adobe says. It is their problem. I was able to print from Photoshop CS4 to the photo tray..no problem. Picassa works fine, Corel Paint also fine. Any Microsoft app is fine. So my message is...Adobe..fix your problem!!!
By the way I purchase Adobe Acrobat 9 to upload a novel I wrote to Kindle and Amazon. I used Word for the text, but Acrobat for the cover art. The text uploaded fine, but I could not get rid of the bleed lines with Acrobat. I finally had to go another route to upload the cover art. It was so bad, I cancelled Acrobat and got my money back!
I have been using Adobe products since Photoshop 1 (it probably wasn't called that) and I never had any problems with the Apps. All the programs in the Adobe Creative Suite from 2009 were fine. I would worry about spending the megabucks for it now!
