The title refers to a crash, but the body of your post makes no reference to the app crashing. Please clarify whether Premiere is crashing. If so, please report the error and post a crash log (if you get one).
In exactly which version of PPro did you start this project?
How many video and audio tracks did your project have?
Please try creating a new project, browsing to the old project in Media Browser, and importing it into the new one.
