The exact problem of Oct. 2013 has reoccurred!
In 2013 I apparently solved the problem - apparently entirely by accident later that evening (because I had no need to return to this thread) - but I made no notes of how it was done. I used Acrobat XI Pro for 14 months, extensively, with no problems.
Now (10 - 21 Dec 2014) I have the exact same problem as in Oct. 2013. (I had to uninstall Acrobat XI Pro as installing a recommended Adobe update for it caused a constant stream of error windows to pop up.) No matter what version of Acrobat XI Pro I now install (11.0.0, 11.0.07 or 11.0.08) I get the problem just as stated above. (As I got a stream of error windows when originally upgrading to 11.0.09 and then upgrading to 11.0.10, I do not want to install them.)
It appears I must make a new post to upload the files requested. The last install of Acrobat was version 11.0.07.
